Shonet L. Newton (she/her), CEO and Founder
Shonet is a seasoned professional with over twelve years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development, with a special emphasis in the fields of human services and environmental causes. Her commitment to helping others inspired her to establish Shonet Newton Consulting, a small business aimed at making a significant and positive difference on small and emerging nonprofit organizations.
She holds a Master of Arts degree in English and is known for her avid passion for books and reading. Her educational background and her dedication to fostering the growth of nonprofit organizations, particularly those that champion diversity and equity, underscore her commitment to creating positive change in her community and beyond.
Salena D. Morphew (she/hers), Creative Coordinator
Salena is a professional with more than a decade of creative design experience, hailing from the high-end floral design industry in New York City. Her rich background in creative design equips her with a keen eye for aesthetics and a deep understanding of the visual aspects of communication. At Shonet Newton Consulting, she plays a pivotal role, not only offering valuable insights into both content and design aspects of materials, but also contributing essential resources and expertise that played a significant role in shaping the consulting firm's initial creation and ongoing strategies.
Simultaneously, Salena is furthering her academic pursuits by pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in horticulture at Oregon State University. Her diverse background, combining creative design with a passion for the natural world, adds a unique and holistic perspective to her contributions to Shonet Newton Consulting.
